Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams Take on Brook Hill

On Tuesday, January 18, the McKinney Christian Academy boys varsity basketball team played against the Brook Hill School at home in the Student Life Center. During halftime, The Mustangs were losing against Brook Hill 12-20, but then the Mustangs took the lead to win the game with a final score of 46-43.  Senior Jaylen Johnson lead the team in scoring with 20 points.

McKinney Christian Academy girls varsity team played against Brook Hill at 6:00 p.m. After the first quarter, the score was tied 8-8, but after the second quarter the Mustangs were down 27-9. Junior Abby Thomas scored 22 points throughout all four quarters. When asked about the team’s performance, freshman Hannah Massingale said, “It was a hard-fought game, but we just didn’t have focus on winning the game.” Sophomore Fiona Smith scored two three-pointers for the Mustangs. The Mustangs dropped to Brook Hill 34-43.
