On Tuesday, November 8, the McKinney Christian Varsity Basketball team played against Coram Deo Flower Mound. This was the first game for the Mustangs, so they were eager to start the season off with a win. With only three returning players, the boys team has a lot of young players. The team gave it their all in their first game, surpassing Coram Deo by winning 70-60. Freshman Hutson Clayton said, “It was a great first game. We played well together for it being our first game, and I can tell our chemistry will grow more through the season.” This win gave Head Coach Fonzo Martinez his 100th win as a Head Coach. The Mustangs hope to continue winning games for the season. The team’s next game is Thursday, November 10, against Coram Deo Plano.
