On Monday, December 5, the McKinney Christian Academy Varsity Girls basketball team played against Legacy Christian Academy. The Mustangs finished the first half  leading 17-18 and ended up winning 38-26. Junior Emily Barnhill dropped 12 points with four three pointers. The lead scorer of the game was senior Abby Thomas, dropping 19 points as well. This was the Mustangs first time beating Legacy in four years. When asked about how the game went Thomas said, “I’m really happy to beat Legacy. They are always very tough competition. I think we worked really well together, but there are still a lot of things to work on before district play. I’m so proud of how far we have come”. The Mustangs next game will be on Friday, December 9, against Cornerstone Academy in the Student Life Center at 6:30 p.m.
