The Varsity boys competed in the Fairfield High School tournament that started Thursday, December 8 and ended on Saturday, December 10. The team finished second place overall. The Mustangs charged through their first four games but came short in the final game. The Mustangs continue to persevere to take the number 1 spot in 4A TAPPS basketball right now being ranked 7th. Assistant Varsity Coach, Nathan Hamilton said this about the games “They finished 1st in their pool going 3-0 with wins against Inspired Vision 66-44, Fairfield JV 68-41, and Fairfield 77-46 before losing 51-69 to Liberty Christian Argyle in the championship game. Senior Bobby McWard also finished as the runner-up in the tournament three point contest.” Head Coach said “We had a really great win against Fairfield, as a team we made 17 three pointer which is a MCA record.” The next game will be on Monday, December 19.
