On Friday, December 9, The Lady Mustangs Basketball team took on an undefeated Cornerstone Christian Academy in a non-district game. The Mustangs held their ground early in the game. After trailing at half time, the Mustangs came out strong in the second half. Junior guard, Miliana Vance said, “The reason we were able to stay in the game is because our coaches motivated us to never give up and keep fighting no matter the circumstance.” After fighting back, The Mustangs ended up winning the game 42-41. The Mustangs are now 9-7 and ready for district play to begin. After the big win the team had a christmas themed party. The Lady Mustangs will be participating next in the Annual MCA Roundup Tournament in the Student Life Center.
