On Friday, January 13, and Saturday, January 14, the McKinney Christian Academy wrestling team competed in a tournament. This tournament consisted of nine wrestling teams and was held at Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School in Tyler, Texas. Junior Tucker Scott shares his thoughts going into the tournament saying, “I wanted to do well and this was a tournament that I could show what I’ve been working on. I think that once I was able to get locked in mentally, I started to wrestle better.” Highlights of the tournament included sophomore Luke Smith placing third, Scott placing fourth and junior Christian Norrell placing fifth. Their next match will take place on Tuesday, January 17.
