On Thursday, January 12, McKinney Christian Academy’s varsity soccer teams played against the Pantego Panthers. The girls won 4-0 with goals from seniors Sarah Krusing and Leigh Evan Kitzmiller, junior Ava Thompson and freshman Sadie Zbranek. The Lady Mustangs defense held the Panthers to zero goals. After the game, freshman Tatum Barnard said, “I thought we connected really well together and we kept the ball for majority of the game.”

The varsity boys on the other hand did not come up with a win, losing 3-0. Freshman Hutson Clayton said, “We played well together, the only downside was our defense fell apart towards the end of the game.” The boys play next on January 17 against Colleyville Covenant and the girls also play Colleyville Covenant on January 19.
