On Friday, January 13, the McKinney Christian Varsity boys and girls basketball teams played against Shelton. The boys team fought fiercely to the fourth quarter and won against the Chargers 74-50. Junior Landon Jones said “I am so proud of the way that we as a team pushed throughout the game.” The Lady Mustangs had fought just as forcefully but resulted in losing to the Shelton Chargers 40-48. After the game sophomore Hannah Massingale says “I think that we played our hardest but by the third quarter we got a little weaker and started to fall apart. With a little bit more practice and planning I’m sure that we will continue to have an amazing season.” The Mustangs next Varsity game will be against Prince of Peace on Wednesday January 18.
