McKinney Christian Academy Varsity soccer faced off against Colleyville Covenant and Fort Worth Bethesda Christian on Thursday January 19. Both teams got the win with a final score of 4-0 for boys and the girls finished the game winning 8-0. Many great performances in each of the games including two goals from freshman Grady Rogers. Rogers was asked how he felt about his performance he replied, “It feels great to see my training pay off.” On the other hand, there were many scorers in the girl’s matchup including two goals from both junior Ava Thompson and senior Sarah Krusing and goals from seniors Preslea Wilson, Alexa Harriman, Gabby Gordon, Leigh Evan Kitzmiller and Freshman Sadie Zbranek. When team captain Krusing was asked what pleased her the most in her win against Colleyville Covenant she said, “After a slow first half I’m proud of us stepping up our game and finishing strong in the second half.” Both teams will be facing off at home against Shelton at 3:30.
