On Tuesday, January 24, the McKinney Christian Academy boys basketball team faced off against the Dallas Christian Chargers. The Mustangs needed to win this game to stay undefeated and hold the district title. The Mustangs defeated the Chargers last year at the state semi-final game in Waco. The Mustangs possessed the ball for the majority of the game and held their lead until the end. The Mustangs ended up beating the Chargers 61-51. Sophomore Landry Draper said, “We are happy about the win, but as a team we all need to pick up the energy levels for the next coming games.” The next game, which is also their last district game and senior night, will be taking place on January 27 in the SLC.
