On Saturday, February 4, McKinney Christian Academy hosted the Prep State Wrestling Tournament in the Student Life Center. The Mustangs had four wrestlers, including juniors Tucker Scott, Christian Norrell, Gerrit Rogers and Sophomore Luke Smith. Scott finished fourth in the 165-weight class, qualifying him as a National Tournament alternate. Scott adds, “Being in front of the whole school and having the desire to win along with being mentally ready helped me get fourth place, and I am very thankful for my teammates and coaches for helping me throughout it all. The tournament was awesome and I can’t wait to compete at Prep State next year.” We hope to see Scott compete in the National Tournament in Maryland later this month. The wrestling team next will travel to Houston to compete in the TAPPS State Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, November 11.
