On February 6, senior Tiffany Nordstrom represented the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs swim team in the TAPPS state swimming championship in San Antonio. Before the meet Nordstrom said she was “nervous but locked in.” Nordstrom finished in third place for the 100M Freestyle along with another third place finish in the 100 meter backstroke. Nordstrom’s time for the 100 meter backstroke was 1:04.33 and her time for the 100 meter was 57.98, just narrowly missing second place by .11 seconds. Nordstrom’s times alone allowed for McKinney Christian Swim to finish 20th in the state, beating our 20 other teams. Nordstrom said, “I was really happy to compete in the State meet again and it was really exciting to win some medals. I love swimming and am so grateful for this opportunity.” Nordstrom intends on continuing her swim career and plans on swimming in college.
