On Friday, February 18, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity basketball team faced off against Grace Prep Academy in the Regional State Playoffs. The game was played at a neutral site Bishop Lynch in Dallas. Coming into this game, sophomore Landry Draper said, “The whole team was very confident about this game. We knew it would be a tough game going into it because we were playing the defending state champs, but when the game started everyone knew we were there for a reason.” The Mustangs were up 32-23 at halftime and held the lead to finish the game 64-51. For two years in a row the varsity boys have qualified for the Final Four. The semifinal game is on Friday, February 24 against Trinity Christian Lubbock at 4pm at University High School in Waco, TX. If the Mustangs advance, the State Championship game will be on Saturday, February 25 at Robinson High School.
