On Monday, March 20, the McKinney Christian Academy Middle School baseball team played against the Covenant School at Noah Field. Eighth grader Josh Anderson pitched at the start of the game allowing the Mustangs to stay ahead. Starting the 3rd inning, eighth grader Angel Lopez pitched up until the final call of the game. The final score was 15-0 and the game was called at the end of the 3rd inning due to a run rule.

On Thursday, March 23, the Mustangs played in another game against the Shelton Chargers. Unfortunately, the boys came up short with a score of 2-3. Eighth grade pitcher Angel Lopez took the mound, striking out the Chargers four times. Lopez also hit a deep home run to left field in the fourth inning. Eighth grader Will Agness pitched the final three innings of the game, but with the Chargers up three runs the Mustangs could not recover. Coach Steve Remy said, “The pitching was strong on both sides. Sadly our boys watched the game slip away after the Chargers took the lead with a triple in the first inning. We will continue to prepare and practice for our next game.”
