Mckinney Christian Academy’s Middle School Track team out preformed expectations at The Big Mike Invitational

McKinney Christian Academy’s middle school track team competed in the Big Mike Invitational on Tuesday, March 28. There were many podium finishes in different categories for the Mustangs. The podium finishes in solo competitions were eighth grader Finley O’Sullivan on Triple Jump in 2nd place, sixth grader Devin Manigo on Long Jump in 2nd place, seventh grader Lizzie Agbah in Discus with 3rd place and 2nd place Shot put, sixth grader Cole Huffman in Boy’s 110m Hurdles in 2nd place and finally seventh grader Wheeler Clayton in Boy’s 400m with 2nd place. In relays there were two first place finishes in 6th grade. In the Boy’s 4×100 sixth graders Cooper Hall, Noah Sebastian, Rhett LeBlanc, and Manigo as well as in Boy’s 4×400 sixth graders Gabriel Castillo, Manigo, Sebastian, and Hall. Middle School Track Coach Scott Lansford gave his team high praise when he said, “We had some tremendous accomplishments from Tuesday, I am proud of all the athletes that have dedicated themselves to working, and getting stronger.” The Middle School track team’s next meet will be on April 11 at First Baptist Academy.
