Middle school track competes at Liberty Christian

On Tuesday, April 4, McKinney Christian Academy Middle School track team had their second meet of the season at Argyle Liberty Christian Academy. There were a total of 23 private schools at this meet. Three personal records were broke by eighth grader Harry Thompson in long jump, seventh grader Lizzie Agbah in shot put and sixth grader Cole Huffman in the 110 meter hurdles. The Mustangs got first in a total of 11 events this meet. Huffman took first in all his events such as triple jump, 110 and 300 meter hurdles.  The 4×1 team with Cooper Hall, Noah Sebastian, Rhett LeBlanc and Devin Manigo took first. The 4×2 team with Sebastian,  Hall, Zach Behling and LeBlanc also finished first. Lastly, the 4×4 was won by LeBlanc, Manigo, Sebastian and Hall. Sixth grader Beau Bleecker was asked how he feels the team has improved since the first meet, “More people got first in their heat and more people also broke some personal records. We definitely did better at this meet.” The next Middle School track meet is on April 11 at First Baptist Academy.
