On Thursday April 13, McKinney Christian Academy’s varsity Track team travelled to Argyle, Texas to compete at Argyle Liberty’s track meet. Throughout all the events, a few Mustangs received medals and accomplished new personal records. Juniors Kaylin Starling placed first in girls varsity Shotput and David Roller placed first in the men’s varsity mile race. Roller ran a personal best and broke his own school record. Track coach Jackie Greenwell-Strunk said, “Watching someone I have known since they were a 1st or 2nd grader become such a successful athlete has been a surreal experience for me. I have enjoyed watching David work so hard and become the amazing runner he is today. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the state meet and especially next year.” The next varsity track meet will be at the Brookhill School in Bullard, Texas on Tuesday, April 18.
