On Tuesday, August 22, the McKinney Christian Academy Middle School Volleyball team travelled to Fort Worth to face off against Fort Worth Christian. The D2 volleyball game was first and then D1. The D2 volleyball team won in the three sets 15-12. The D1 team won both sets 25-8 and 25-15. Eighth grader, Isabella Melton said, “The game went really well. Our serving was super good, and everyone had a lot of fun”. Their next game will be on August 30, against First Baptist.

Luke Ashcraft is a freshman at McKinney Christian Academy. Ashcraft started attending last year as an 8th grader. Luke only plays basketball, but he plays in school and out of school leagues. Luke is excited for the basketball season, and newspaper. Luke's favorite book of the bible is 1 Peter because it gives an encouraging reminder that we should always have hope when we are suffering.

Makennah Vann is a junior. She is attending MCA for the third year. This is also her third year in newspaper. She loves to play volleyball. In her free time, Vann enjoys spending time with friends and family. She attends Lakepointe Church and is actively involved in the youth program.
Her favorite Bible verse is Galatians 2:20.
