On Saturday, November 11, the McKinney Christian Lady Mustangs went against Lubbock Christian in the TAPPS 4A regional playoffs. The game was full of energy and excitement from both teams. Seniors Kadence Ackmann had 26 kills, Bren Williams 18 kills and Mia Gunn with 21 digs. The game was neck and neck with scores of 26-28, 25-14, 21-25, 25-21, and 9-15. Senior Brooklynn Claudio said, ” The game was sad to lose, but I was proud that we gave everything we got. I had an amazing season with these girls.” The Mustangs finished the season 25-8.

This is Abby’s 2nd year at MCA. She is a freshman. Outside of school Abby enjoys playing volleyball, going to church, and hanging out with her friends. She has been playing club volleyball for 4 years and is on the varsity volleyball team at MCA. Abby’s favorite place to visit is the beach with all her family. This is Abby’s first year in Newspaper and she’s excited to contribute.

Tara joined MCA in 2011 as our JH Texas History and PE teacher as well as a Volleyball & Softball Coach. Previously, she was the assistant Athletic Director, Volleyball and Softball Coach and PE teacher at First Baptist Academy. In 2012, she began teaching journalism classes and is the National Honor Society sponsor. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a minor in English from Texas Woman’s University. Tara’s favorite scripture verse is:
