On Tuesday, November 28, the varsity MCA girls soccer team played a home scrimmage against HSAA. In the first half senior Ava Thompson scored the only goal for the Mustangs. At half, the Mustangs were down 4-1. The final score was 1-6 with HSAA getting the win. Senior, Ava Thompson, was asked about her thoughts on the game. “We started off strong but our communication was weak. We need to keep getting stronger so we can prepare for district play.” The next game is Thursday, November 30, away against Prince of Peace at 5pm.

Tatum Barnard has been attending MCA since kindergarten and is now a junior. This will be her third year on the newspaper staff. Barnard will be playing soccer for her school in the winter. In her free time, she enjoys being with her friends, family, and playing competitive soccer. Her favorite part of MCA is the Christian community she is surrounded by every day. Barnard's favorite verse is Ephesians 2:3-5.

Bren Williams is a junior attending MCA for three years. This will be her first year in newspaper. Bren will be playing on the MCA volleyball team. In her free time, Williams loves spending time with family and playing sand volleyball with her friends. She attends Cottonwood Creek and is in the youth program. Her favorite bible verse is Isaiah 41:10
"So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand."
