On Friday, January 12, the McKinney Christian Academy band director Ken Snow and senior Jackson Iseneker and seventh grader Silas Urban rehearsed for the ATSSB All-Region Band concert in Anna, Texas. Iseneker and Urban had previously competed for roles in the band in December, receiving the 9th chair and 1st chair for their individual categories accordingly. The rehearsals were approximately 15 hours long, spanning the length of two days. They performed on Saturday, playing music they had learned only the day before. When asked how the program went, Snow said, “Both programs were excellent and the choice of music was challenging and engaging for the audience.”
