On Friday, February 23, the McKinney Christian Academy boys baseball team went up against Trinity Christian Academy. At the start of the game, the Mustangs had an early lead, with pitcher Cal Miller leading the defensive charge with a batting average of .20 and catcher Jackson Wittwer allowing only one passed ball. Pitchers eighth graders Miller, Dylan Mohler, and seventh grader Jacob Agness each struck out three batters, with Mohler led to picking off a base runner and Miller allowing zero stolen bases. In the end, the Mustangs fell short, losing the game 7-13. When asked about the game, Head Coach Steven Remy said, “Our players demonstrated that with heart and dedication, the spirit of competition is alive and well at MCA. We look forward to carrying this momentum into our future games, and I am proud of our Mustangs for their exemplary display of athleticism and sportsmanship.”

The Mustangs play again on Monday, February 26, against Cistercian Preparatory School.

Hi, I'm Aubrey Hagstrom! I am in 9th grade this year, and I have been at MCA since third grade. After school, I enjoy playing soccer and hanging out with my friends and my little brother. This is my first year in the newspaper staff, and my favorite MCA memory was my 8th grade Spring Semi-Formal.  My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37:23-24 "The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."
