On Saturday, February 24, the McKinney Christian Academy men’s varsity basketball team played their second playoff game of the season. The winner of this game would leave as Regional champions for boys varsity 4A basketball. The Mustangs played against Lubbock Trinity Christian at a neutral sight. During halftime, the Mustangs were losing with a score of 19-32. After the game, Junior Jace Scott says, “We fought hard and played together but came up short. We did all we could to become regional champions but we couldn’t pull through.” Senior Uriah Boutte led the game in points, scoring 26 throughout the game. The Mustangs ended up losing the game with a final score of 54-65 ending the Mustangs’ season.
