On Tuesday, May 7th, the MCA varsity baseball team played against Trinity Christian in the first regional playoff game. The Mustangs score six runs in the second inning, helping them defeat Lubbock Trinity. Junior John Clark singled and scored two runs. Senior Connor Jarzombek also singled and scored one run. Lastly, sophomore Porter Carroll doubled and scored three runs for the Mustangs. The game ended with a score of 10-4 with the Mustangs on top. When asked about the game, head coach Brady James said, “I am so proud of ur players. I felt like we were the better team. We are aiming to get back to the state tournament.”
The next playoff game will be Wednesday, May 8th at 10:00 am.
