On Friday, May 10th, the Kindergarteners got together and threw a special event for their moms. The kindergarten classes hosted the moms, making them tissue paper fascinator hats and special cups with their faces on them. There was a Photo Booth there, so the moms and their kids could take pictures with each other. The kindergarteners served their moms iced tea and cupcakes, and sang a song for them. When asked about this event, Kindergarten teacher Ashley Lamb said “It was a special time for the kids to host their mothers and to honor them. This event was to teach the kids about humility and serving others.”

Hi, I'm Aubrey Hagstrom! I am in 9th grade this year, and I have been at MCA since third grade. After school, I enjoy playing soccer and hanging out with my friends and my little brother. This is my first year in the newspaper staff, and my favorite MCA memory was my 8th grade Spring Semi-Formal. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37:23-24
"The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."
