On Friday, October 31, to celebrate the coming of fall, the Lower School dressed up in cozy PJs. Grades from Pre-K to fifth grade gathered on the circle around the cross to show off their PJs to the surrounding grades. Each grade took its turn strutting down the walkway that the observing grades had made for them. Parents and family members came to see their children participate in the parade, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Every year, each child looks forward to this long-lasting tradition that brings the lower school together as a community. Students have the opportunity to show off a different side of themselves during this vibrant event. Despite the very cold weather, spirits were high in the Lower School. To conclude the parade, all Lower School participants enjoyed milk and cookies as a special treat. When Patti Dalhoff was asked about her experience watching her daughter and her students in the PJ day parade, she said, “The cookies were epic and the students got to dress up in fun PJs, which made the parade a joy to watch.”
