On Friday, September 6, the McKinney Christian Academy Mustang football team faced off against the Fort Worth Country Day Falcons in a non-district game. The final score of the matchup was 66-7 in favor of the Falcons. The offensive leaders of the game were junior Cody Dow with 171 all-purpose yards and 13/26 on pass attempts with one touchdown pass to sophomore Lincoln Pogue who had 6 receptions for 44 yards. Sophomore Chase Brugle also had 1 reception for 58 yards. The defensive leaders were sophomores Harrison Thompson, Luke Dreffs, and Pogue. Thompson talked about the game saying, “We did the best we could, but we’re a young team and lack experience in the game. I’m excited to see us grow in the game of football.”
Their next game is on Friday, September 20, away against Founders Classical Academy.
