D1 Volleyball Team Plays First Playoff Game and Wins

The Middle School D1 volleyball team played their first playoff game against Providence Christian.

On October 16, the Middle School D1 volleyball team played in their first playoff game of the season. They played against Providence Christian Middle School. In the first set they won 25-16.  They started off a little bit rocky and had some miscommunication, but in the end they pushed through and won the first set. They started off the second set with lots of energy. The second set ended with the score of 25-10. Eighth grader Abby Wysong talked about their game and said ” We had a very good second set and we made barely any mistakes. I’m very excited for our next game and I’ve had an amazing season with this team so far.”

Their next game is on Monday, October 21.

Brittany Bartoo has been attending MCA since Pre-K and is now a freshman. This is her first year in newspaper, and she is excited to be apart of the The Mane Edition. Brittany is currently apart of the varsity volleyball team for MCA. She is also planning to play basketball and softball for MCA in the winter and spring. Outside of school, Brittany plays club volleyball and she likes to spend time with her family and friends. Brittany's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 139:14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
