On Friday, November 1, the McKinney Christian football team faced off in a Friday night lights game against the Dallas Christian Chargers. The Chargers started strong, scoring the first couple of drives of the game. Sophomore Andrew Long finished the game with 15 rushing yards with 10 attempts. Sophomore Harry Thompson finished with 3 carries for 10 yards. On the defensive side of the ball is where the Mustangs struggled. The three defensive leaders for the Mustangs were Sophomore Lincoln Pogue with six combined tackles, junior Jasher Massingale with four combined tackles, and sophomore Harry Thompson with six combined tackles. Long had this to say about the game, “It was a very off game for the Mustangs we tried our best but with the little help we had we were overpowered.” Although the Mustangs, tried their best, they ended up falling short with a score of 70-0.
Their next game is on Friday, November 8, against Bishop Gorman.
