Varsity Girls Soccer Win First District Game

The Mustangs beat Tyler All Saints 6-0.

On Thursday, December 12, the varsity girls’ soccer team traveled to Tyler to play in their first district game of the season against Tyler All Saints. At halftime, the Mustangs were in the lead, 2-0. The goals were by junior, Hannah Doshier and senior, Casey Gerardis. By the end of the second half, the girls found the back of the net four more times making the score 6-0. The goal scorers were by freshman Molly Walsh, sophomore Aubrey Hagstrom, and two from junior Tatum Barnard.

The next varsity girls district game is January 9, against Dallas Covenant at home.

Tatum Barnard, Business Manager
Tatum Barnard has been attending MCA since kindergarten and is now a junior. This will be her third year on the newspaper staff. Barnard will be playing soccer for her school in the winter. In her free time, she enjoys being with her friends, family, and playing competitive soccer. Her favorite part of MCA is the Christian community she is surrounded by every day. Barnard's favorite verse is Ephesians 2:3-5.  "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved."
