Girls Basketball faces off against Dallas Christian

The McKinney Christian Lady Mustangs faced off Dallas Christian at home.

On Friday, January 24, the McKinney Christian Lady Mustangs basketball team faced off against Dallas Christian. The game was full of defense and great effort to get to the rim. The final score was 36-55, with Dallas Christian winning. Junior Sadie Zbranek had 12 points and 6 steals and freshman Elizabeth Thompson had 12 points and 4 steals. Thompson talked about the game, saying, “Our team stepped it up and did a lot better than last time we played DC. Although we didn’t win, we competed with them and did well as a team.”

The Lady Mustangs’ next game is Friday against Bishop Gorman.

This is Abby's 2nd year at MCA. She is a freshman. Outside of school Abby enjoys playing volleyball, going to church, and hanging out with her friends. She has been playing club volleyball for 4 years and is on the varsity volleyball team at MCA. Abby's favorite place to visit is the beach with all her family. This is Abby's first year in Newspaper and she's excited to contribute. Abby's favorite verse is 1 Peter 5:7. "Cast your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Luke Dreffs is currently a freshman at MCA and has been attending since the 5th grade. Luke is excited about the upcoming year in high school. Outside of school, Dreffs likes to play soccer and spend time with his friends. Luke plays soccer and football for the Mckinney Christian Academy currently. His favorite Bible verse is Mark 8:36. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
