On Thursday, February 6, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity girls’ soccer team played Lakehill Prep a home. At the beginning of the first half, junior, Tatum Barnard, scored the first goal of the game. By the end of the first half, the game was tied 1-1. The teams remained tied throughout the second half, pushing them into overtime. Senior Casey Gerardis scored the golden goal to win the game. Barnard was asked about her thoughts on the game and said, “I thought we played well together and made some great plays. this was our hardest team in the district and I’m glad we prevailed.”
The girls will play against Bishop Gorman at home on Monday February 10 at 3.
