Varsity Girls Soccer Beats Dallas Christian

The Mckinney Christian Academy Lady Mustangs won 1-0 against Dallas Christian

On Thursday, February 13, the Mckinney Christian Academy girls varsity soccer team beat Dallas Christian at home. The score was 1-0, with junior Tatum Barnard getting the goal. When Barnard was asked about the game, she said, “This was a really close game. We didn’t play our best but we still ended up with the win which is good. I’m excited to play them again on Monday so we can get another win!”

Elizabeth Thompson has been going to MCA since she was in sixth grade and is now a freshman. This is her first year in newspaper, and she is excited to be apart of it. Her favorite sport is basketball, and is looking forward for the season to start in the winter. She also plays softball, and is planning to play for the school in the spring. Outside of school, she plays AAU basketball for a team named Valor, and likes to spend time with her friends and family. Her favorite memory at MCA was when she and a couple of friends were chased by a deer walking back from getting water at Prude Ranch. Her favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future."
