During the week of March 10, a group of McKinney Christian Academy Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors went to San Antonio for their mission trip and partnered with Blueprint Ministries. This organization helps to restore houses of low-income families living in substandard homes. Students on this trip got the opportunity to help restore the paint on the outside of the house, the ceiling on one house, and build a patio with steps and skirting on the other while spreading the Word of God to the homes. The students, along with restoring the homes, also had a fantastic opportunity to do some night activities. On Wednesday night, the group headed to the San Antonio Spurs game, where they faced off against the Mavericks. On Thursday night, they would head to downtown San Antonio, where they could view the area for a little while. The students also got to experience some incredible places, such as the Alamo and the San Antonio Riverwalk. When asked about the trip, Sophomore Will Agness said, “ It was a great opportunity to help less fortunate people. During this trip, I got closer to God and some of my older classmates that I didn’t know. It was awesome to see how God worked.”
