On Thursday, September 5, The McKinney Christian Academy Middle School football team lost to the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals. The final score of the game was 0-36. Head Coach Gerald Brence talked about the game saying, “For our first game of the season we did well. The Cardinals were a very good team but our guys played hard and never gave up. This was one of the hottest games I can remember, with it being over 100 degrees. It was difficult for both teams to perform with the immense heat. The boys played well in a lot of areas and they will keep getting better as the season goes on.” When seventh grader Eli Comeau was asked how the game went, he said, “I’m proud of my team because we never gave up!” Eighth grader Cort Walsh also added, “Coach Brence really inspired us to play hard.”
Their next game is Thursday, September 11, against Grace Prep.
