Grace Prep defeated McKinney Christian Academy 20-16 on Thursday, September 11, in the Mustangs’ second Middle School football game of the season. Eighth grader Jack Thompson led the team on defense with his 13 tackles. He also added one touchdown on offense. Head coach Gerald Brence said the team showed growth from its opener, noting, “We made tremendous improvement from week one. We were a lot more physical, and we are executing better. We made some mistakes, but we will continue to strive to be better every day.” The Mustangs will look to build momentum as their season progresses.
Their next game is Thursday, September 18, against Dallas Covenant.
