On Wednesday, September 24, students worldwide gather around their school’s flagpole to participate in an event called “See You at the Pole.” Students, families, and staff of McKinney Christian Academy gathered before school to spend some quality time in prayer. See You at the Pole was an event initiated by a small group of students from a Christian youth group in 1990. By 1991, this event had attracted over 1 million participants. The power that prayer has is tremendous. They prayed about many things, including the spiritual growth of others, the spreading of the gospel, and for our leaders. When Kate Thomas was asked about her thoughts on See You at the Pole, she said, “I was really blessed to see fellow Christians join together at the pole this morning. We got the chance to pray about our government and the leaders of our country.”
