On October 7th, the McKinney Christian Academy Lady Mustangs volleyball team faced off against Rockwall Heritage. The Mustangs started hot, smoking them in the first set 25-14. The Mustangs replicated that set, defeating the Eagles once again 25-14. However, Heritage bounced back, winning the next set 20-25. In the final set, the Mustangs defeated the Eagles 25-21 to win the game. The kill leader for the game was sophomore Brittany Bartoo with 16 throughout the game. The dig leader for the game was sophomore Presley Dreffs with 14. Bartoo said this about the game, “Beating Heritage felt really good. We came in focused and played our game. As a hitter, I trusted my team and went for it. Seeing that last ball drop was the best feeling.” The jv team swept the Eagles in both sets.
The Lady Mustangs play next on Thursday, October 9th, against Shelton.
