MCA Kindergarten Takes a Field Trip

The McKinney Christian Academy kindergarteners take a field trip to the pumpkin patch.

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, kindergarten students from MCA took a field trip to the Preston Trails pumpkin patch. A variety of activities awaited the kindergarten students. Their thirst for knowledge motivated them to participate in activities such as a hay maze, a hay ride and feeding a variety of farm animals. The field trip provided an excellent opportunity for students to bond while learning about pumpkins. The students had the opportunity to observe the life cycle of a pumpkin in real life. When Ashlie Lamb, the kindergarten teacher, was asked about a special part of the kindergarten experience, she said, “It was a great day. Each student was allowed to choose their own pumpkin to bring home as a souvenir. ”

Madison Diedrick is currently a freshman attending McKinney Christian Academy. This is her 11th year being blessed with the opportunity to be a part of the MCA community. Madison enjoys spending her free time cheerleading and in the company of her friends. The MCA cheer team, alongside both of her competitive cheerleading teams, keeps her exceedingly busy. Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
