On November 18, the Lady Mustangs varsity basketball team played against PCA North. PCA won the game 60–40. Freshman, Elizabeth Thompson, led MCA in scoring with 20 points. She also recorded 10 rebounds, giving her a double-double for the night. MCA kept the game close in the first half, but PCA extended its lead as the game continued. Both teams exchanged possessions and maintained steady offensive and defensive play throughout the matchup. When Thompson was asked how the game went, she said, “It wasn’t our best game. We know what to do to get better. We will channel our new energy and do better in our next game.”
