On November 18, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity boys basketball team opened their week with a win on Tuesday night, cruising past Brighter Horizon 72–16. The Mustangs controlled the pace, and the energy all game. Junior guard Diego Landin led the way for MCA, lighting it up with 21 points. Landin’s scoring came from everywhere on the court as he set the tone early and never slowed down. Junior Evan Woodard added 10 points to the scoring and this would led the high power Mustang attack all game long. MCA’s defense also played a major role, holding Brighter Horizon to just 16 total points and forcing turnovers throughout the night. With the win, the Mustangs build momentum heading into their next matchup. The Mustangs look to carry their strong play forward as they continue their early season run. Junior Jude Bleecker had this to say about the game, “We did great, our energy was high, and we worked very well together. I am very excited for the next game.” MCA plays next Friday, November 21, when they take on Caddo Mills.
