On December 2, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity boys basketball team opened its week with a win on Tuesday night, cruising past Bishop Dunne 105-60. The Mustangs controlled the pace and energy throughout the entire game. Junior, Diego Landin, led the way for MCA, lighting it up with 45 points. Landin’s scoring came from everywhere on the court as he set the tone early and never slowed down. Senior, Jaydan Vicknair, was also very effective in scoring, and this would lead the Mustang attack all game long. MCA’s defense also played a major role, holding Bishop Dunne to 60 points and forcing turnovers throughout the night. With the win, the Mustangs build momentum heading into their next matchup. The Mustangs look to carry their strong play forward as they continue their early-season run. Junior, Jude Bleecker, had this to say about the game, “We did great, our energy was high, and we worked very well together. I am very excited for the next game.” MCA plays next Thursday, December 4, in the Decatur tournament.
