On Tuesday, January 20, the McKinney Christian Mustang boys basketball team faced the Tyler All Saints in a district matchup. The game was neck-and-neck at times, and the Mustangs were trailing 22-26 at one point in the second quarter. However, the Mustangs stepped it up, winning with a final score of 81-45. The Mustangs were led by senior, Daniel Seeley, who shot 4 for 4 from 3 and did not miss a shot all night. Junior, Leo Jimenez, also had a great night, leading the Mustangs in scoring with 17 points. Junior, Will Agness, had this to say about the second half performance: “We came out, we banged 2 threes, and we got them out of their zone.” The JV team also had a dominant performance against Shelton, winning 61-29. Freshman, Rayden Hendrix, was very important in the win and spoke after the game, saying, “We had hustle, heart, and took care of business.”
The McKinney Christian Mustangs will face off against the Dallas Christian Chargers on Thursday, January 22, for an away game.
