On Monday, February 2, the middle school boys D1 and D2 basketball teams played in the quarterfinals in Fort Worth, Texas. They played against Nolan Catholic. The D1 boys were losing at the start, but at the last second of the game they scored, ending the game with a final score of 36–34. Seventh grader, Jaxson Hodges, scored 13 points, and eighth grader, Crawford McWilliam, scored 7 points. Seventh grader, Parker Crews, had this to say about the game: “The game started out great, but in the third quarter we started to not play as well. It was looking bad for us, but in the end we played our best and it paid off when we won the game.” The middle school D2 team ended up winning their game as well against Fort Worth Christian with a final score of 32-27.

Collin Kincheloe has been at MCA since the 4th grade. He is currently in his junior year. This is his first year in newspaper, and he is looking forward to writing all about everything MCA offers. His favorite thing to do in his free time is going to the gym and hanging out with his friends. His favorite memory is going to Hawaii with his family over the summer.
