On Monday, February 9, the Lady Mustangs basketball team faced a challenging opponent, the Shelton Chargers. Sophomore, Elizabeth Thompson, led the team in scoring with 16 points. Sophomore, Petra Westra, was the second leading scorer with 12. The Mustangs led for most of the game. However, in the end, the Mustangs maintained the lead and went on to win the game. The final score of the game was 44-26. When Thompson was asked how she thought the game went, she said, ” We worked on a lot of new things for the next game, and we didn’t play as well as we wanted to, but in the end, we came out with the win. Their next game is on Tuesday, February 10, against Bishop Gorman.
