On Thursday, February 12, the MCA boys’ varsity soccer team delivered a strong all-around performance against Dallas Christian, earning a decisive 9–0 win. The Stangs controlled the game from the start, combining an efficient offense with solid defense to secure the shutout. Senior, Jaxon Dover-Smith, scored the first goal of the game. The second goal was scored by Senior, David Graesser. The third goal was scored by Dover-Smith, assisted by Senior, Noah Melton. The fourth goal was scored by Senior, Kody Zbranek, who was assisted by Senior, Hutson Clayton. The fifth goal was scored by the only freshman player on the team, Beniam Messay. The sixth goal of the game was scored by Senior, Nate Krusing. The seventh and eighth goals were both scored by Clayton. Junior, Noah Faulker, scored the ninth and final goal of the game. Hutson Clayton spoke on the game. He said, “It was a good win for our team before playoffs. We had to win by 5 goals or more to secure first seed, and we worked hard and did it.” Their next game is on Tuesday, February 17, against All-Saints.
