On Thursday, February 19, the MCA Varsity girls’ soccer team played Temple Christian. The Lady Mustangs won with a score of 8-0. Senior, Tatum Barnard, led the game with three goals. Sophomore, Elizabeth Thompson, scored two goals. Senior, Hannah Doshier, and sophomore, Molly Walsh, each contributed a goal to the team’s offensive effort. Within two minutes of the game, Senior, Sadie Blake scored one goal. Doshier shares her thoughts on the game, saying,” I’m really proud of how we played today. Everyone stepped up and did what they needed to do, and you could see how hard we’ve been working in practice. We trusted each other, played together, and that made a big difference out there.” Their next game is on Thursday, February 26, as they will compete in the regional matchup.
