On Monday, February 23, the McKinney Christian Academy boys’ varsity golf team competed at Eldorado Country Club in a tournament hosted by McKinney North High School. Although they didn’t perform as well as they had hoped, they still secured a top-15 finish out of 20 teams. The best score for the team was Senior, Alvin Ma, with a 76, being only 4 over. The highlight of the day was Senior, Cayden Kerico, making a birdie on the 13th hole (par 4), capping off his round with an impressive shot. The team looks forward to improving in their next tournament and building on this experience. When Kerico was asked about the day, he said, “It was a good start to the season. We still have a lot of work to put in before the TAPPS competitions and district games, but we are doing well. This course was tough, but we all showed resilience throughout the whole thing.”
Their next Tournament will be on March, 31th, The Cougar Classic.
