From Friday, March 6 through 12, McKinney Christian Academy students and teachers traveled to the Dominican Republic. This trip provided a meaningful opportunity to support those in need and experience local culture firsthand. The team assisted residents, churches, schools, and community organizations by painting homes and distributing essential resources. This effort enabled them to give back and better understand the challenges others face globally. The experience was deeply fulfilling, inspiring personal growth and shifting perspectives. Students became more appreciative of their own circumstances. They spent time with children at the church, sharing kindness and compassion. After the trip, senior, Cody Dow reflected, saying, “I had fun hanging with the kids, and I grew closer to Jesus.”
