On Sunday, March 8th, a group of Upper School students from McKinney Christian Academy traveled to Arkansas for Missions Week. The students served with an organization called Every Arkansan, which has multiple branches under one umbrella. The group of students served under two branches of Every Arkansan. Students helped package orders for a variety of different churches in the area. The churches sent representatives to pick up the orders and supply the items to people in need. The warehouse in which they worked contained an array of supplies from furniture and household items to food, diapers, and clothing. Hygiene kits were assembled by the students and distributed to those in need. In the afternoon, the missionaries went to EA Kids to hold a VBS for the children to attend. The students loved on the kids, played with them, and taught them about the four most important truths. These truths include: I have sinned, Jesus died for me, God loves me, and I will decide to live for God. When Sophomore, Harper Miazga, was asked about her experience on the Arkansas mission trip, she said, “This trip was very impactful, and it was such a blessing to be apart of. The kids were a joy to play with, and I’m so glad for the opportunity to serve and teach them about the Bible.”
